Projects

ICS/SCADA Cyber-Industrial Research

Undergraduate Research

Mar 2026 — ACTIVE
  • Developed a blockchain-secured ICS/SCADA monitoring system, targeting real-world industrial cybersecurity challenges in Water Treatment Plant environments.
  • Designed and integrated a custom blockchain ledger in C using OpenSSL SHA-256 hashing and Proof-of-Work consensus for immutable, tamper-proof logging of ICS sensor data and security events.

Self-Hosted Storage Server

Debian · Docker · WireGuard · restic · Backblaze B2

Jul 2026
  • Kept the server off the public internet entirely, with no port forwarding and no open inbound ports. All access runs through a WireGuard VPN, so a device must be enrolled before it can reach the host, and untrusted devices are limited to the two application ports they need.
  • Separated six services onto isolated Docker networks so that a compromise in one cannot reach the others, then verified the boundary by connecting into a running container and attempting to reach its neighbors. Both name resolution and direct connections failed, as intended.
  • Identified that Docker inserts its own firewall rules ahead of ufw, which had been publishing container ports to the entire local network. Corrected it by binding those ports to the VPN address rather than to all interfaces.
  • Configured nightly encrypted backups to cloud storage, with encryption performed before any data leaves the network. Confirmed recoverability by restoring a snapshot and diffing it against the source, since a backup job exiting successfully does not prove the data can be recovered.

Sentinel IR

Electronics CSE

Nov 2025 – Dec 2025
  • Designed and implemented an ESP-based intruder detection system using an IR obstacle sensor, pushbutton input, LED indicator, and buzzer, controlled through a state-machine architecture.
  • Validated sensor readings and actuator behavior using isolated test cases and serial debugging before fully running the system.
  • Collaborated with a partner to plan, test, debug, and document the system from initial design through final implementation.

Email Automation Tool

Personal Project

Sep 2025 – Nov 2025
  • Developed a Python script to automate sending emails with multiple attachments using Gmail SMTP.
  • Implemented optional encryption of messages and attachments with cryptography.Fernet for secure data transfer.
  • Managed sensitive credentials securely using environment variables to avoid hardcoding passwords.

Experience

Cybersecurity Intern

OTC Industrial Technologies

May 2026 — ACTIVE
  • Designed and built KEVA (Known Exploited Vulnerability Alerter), an automated security workflow in Rapid7 InsightConnect that pulls CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog daily, correlates new CVEs against the company's Rapid7 InsightVM environment, and auto-generates Jira tickets identifying affected assets.
  • Integrated four systems — CISA, Rapid7 InsightVM, Jira, and Microsoft Teams — into a single automated pipeline, replacing manual daily vulnerability monitoring.
  • Wrote Python components using REST APIs, JSON parsing, and regex to filter 1,600+ catalog entries down to newly published threats and resolve affected asset IDs to hostnames.
  • Engineered defensive logic to handle real-world edge cases, including CVEs absent from the internal scanner and vulnerabilities with no affected assets, preventing false-positive tickets.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

The Ohio State University

Feb 2026 — ACTIVE
  • Conducting research under the supervision of Vimal Buck in cybersecurity, spanning embedded systems security and log integrity in IoT environments.
  • Developing hands-on skills in security research methodologies alongside coursework in computer science.

Server

J. Alexander's Restaurant

Oct 2025 – Apr 2026
  • Provide attentive customer service in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with team members to ensure a positive dining experience.

Leadership

MTA Chairman / Social Media Chair

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

Aug 2025 — ACTIVE
  • Serve as Chairperson for the fraternity, overseeing membership intake for the chapter to ensure a smooth and organized onboarding process.
  • Managed and created content across social media to promote events, increase engagement, and strengthen community presence.

Finance Chair

NPHC Executive Board

Dec 2025 — ACTIVE
  • Manage chapter finances, including budgeting, expense tracking, and processing funds for operations and events.
  • Collaborate with other E-board members to allocate funds responsibly.
